Sales Representative – Key Accounts (Japan)

Role Summary

As the Sales Representative for Key Accounts in Japan, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with large enterprise and public sector clients. You will work closely with internal teams and customer stakeholders—including IT leaders, procurement managers, and executives—to introduce BellSoft's Java solutions and guide them through the full sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy targeting key accounts in Japan's enterprise and government sectors.Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., CIOs, CTOs, Engineering Managers, and Procurement leads).Manage the complete sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to presentations, proposals, negotiations, and closing.Collaborate with technical teams, legal, and product managers to provide tailored solutions and proposals.Represent BellSoft at local conferences, industry events, and customer meetings in Japan.Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and deliver regular sales forecasts and performance reports.Provide market feedback to help shape BellSoft's product and regional strategy.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of enterprise software sales experience, preferably with a focus on Java platforms, infrastructure, or developer tools.
  • Proven track record in managing complex B2B or public sector sales cycles in Japan.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and enterprise IT environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in Japanese; English proficiency is preferred for internal communication.
  • Familiarity with Japanese corporate culture and procurement processes.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and effectively within a remote, international team.

Preferred

  • Prior experience with OpenJDK, Java runtimes, container security, or Linux-based platforms.
  • Established network in financial services, telecommunications, or government IT sectors in Japan.
